Vista Verde

LOCATION: Orinda, CA

SIZE: 53 units

ROLE:  Construction Management

TYPE:  Senior Housing

This project consists of the ground-up construction of a new senior retirement community apartment building, designed to provide independent living in a safe, accessible, and well-amenitized environment.

The development includes 53 residential units, comprising 52 senior apartments and one on-site manager’s unit, all housed within a single building. The structure features two levels of non-residential construction, including a one-level parking garage located below three levels of residential housing. The building is served by two elevators, ensuring accessibility and ease of movement throughout.

Shared resident amenity spaces were incorporated to support community interaction and daily living. The project also provides 32 on-site parking spaces, including three designated accessible stalls, along with a dedicated trash room serving the entire building and complete site lighting improvements.

The project is classified as senior citizen housing and was developed in compliance with the Unruh Civil Rights Act and applicable provisions of the California Civil Rights Code, governing senior housing developments. The project is privately funded, with no public housing designation and no HUD or public financing involvement.

This development reflects a thoughtful approach to senior housing—balancing accessibility, operational efficiency, and long-term livability within a compact, urban residential footprint.
